Since 1988, the NWA Food Bank has been nourishing Northwest Arkansas by feeding hungry people and acting as a distribution source for food pantries, senior centers, shelters and other nonprofits in our community. The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and #BITENWA support the NWA Food Bank annually, having donated more than $1.2 million and over 6.5 tons of food to the NWA Food Bank to date. Black Owned Northwest Arkansas (BONWA) exists to make living in Northwest Arkansas easier for the Black Diaspora by highlighting black businesses, events, and resources beneficial to the community. Jasmine and Jae are the dynamic duo on a mission to amplify local black-owned businesses & connect people new to the area with businesses, doctors, barbers, hair salons & more.
Through community engagement and academic programs, Brightwater provides world-class training and learning for individuals, students and professionals at any point on their journey into the world of food. Their goal is to make the study and craft of food accessible to all - creatively, entrepreneurially, and sustainably.
Northwest Arkansas Equality is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide programs, education, and advocacy to serve, connect, and empower the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community.
NWA Girl Gang is a 501(c)3 non-profit that aims to provide safe and accessible spaces, activities, and experiences, for marginalized genders and communities to access, participate, and engage in, regardless of unique abilities or disabilities. They strive to create inclusive and equitable opportunities to support women, trans women, and non-binary entrepreneurs, creatives, freelancers, and more. Focused on creating “least restrictive environments,†their events are specifically designed to accommodate and encourage authentic participation from the disabled community. NWA Girl Gang loudly and proudly values intersectionality, and successfully engages BIPOC, TSLGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, low-income, and more underrepresented communities.
Casa Dos Alas is a nonprofit that is reimagining what it means to fight food insecurity. They are driven by the belief that food is a celebration of life and culture, not just a commodity to be distributed. Their mission is to fight food insecurity in Northwest Arkansas' Hispanic communities through innovative partnerships that remove barriers and make access to food a celebration of community and culture.
